Delia's Crossing is the story of Delia Yeberra, a teenage Mexican girl whose parents are killed in a truck accident outside their small Mexican village. Delia's elderly grandmother sends Delia to live with her wealthy aunt in Palm Springs, California, a widow who has basically disowned her Mexican heritage and her family. She must cross from the poor, rural life in Mexico to the world of the rich and famous and while doing so live and battle a resentful cousin her age in an atmosphere of controversy. She will soon find herself to be "The Latino Cinderella."
